Success for the Maywood Police Department and the Village is determined, in part, by the quality of the relationship and trust that exists between Department Personnel and residents of the community. To help build trust and a greater spirit of cooperation, the Maywood Police Department has undertaken several initiatives, including a heightened commitment to MAPS (Maywood Alternative Policing Strategy).
Under MAPS, Maywood is divided into four zones. Residents in each zone are invited to attend monthly MAPS Zone meetings. At the meetings, Department Personnel listen to and respond to concerns voiced by residents. The boundary of each MAPS Zone, as well as information regarding meeting dates, times and location are provided in the boxes below.
