Water Collection
The Finance Department is
responsible for the collection of Water Bill payments, and
has established several options to facilitate timely
payments - including online payments, which is accessible at
the bottom of this page or on the menu at the top of every
page on this website.
Delinquency
If you
have a delinquent water bill, please call the Finance
Department to discuss making payment arrangements.
Discontinuation
of Services
Per
Village Ordinance, Water Services can be discontinued if
a bill remains unpaid for more than thirty days after
the billing date. A charge of $50.00 will be made for
turning the water on again where the same has been
turned off because of non-payment.
When
charges are delinquent the Village shall have the right
to shut off the water supply to such premises.
The
Village may also file a notice of lien with the Recorder
of Deeds or the Registrar of Titles of Cook County. The
Village then may file suit to foreclose the lien.
