A Trustee serves a four year term as a member of the Village Board, which is the legislative body that develops and approves ordinances and resolutions governing the life of the community.  The Board approves revenue generating activities as well as expenditures made in support of the operations and business of the Village.  The Board provides direction to the Village Manager who oversees the activities of all Village Departments.

Dominique Garrett-Flowers is a life long resident of Maywood.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Columbia College with a minor in business management.  She worked in the real estate industry for the past 9 years in both residential sales and residential property management.  She is one of the founding members of Victory Cathedral Worship Center where she also teaches Sunday School to children ages 3-5. She is the wife of Maywood Firefighter David Flowers Jr. The mother of two, Paige 9 and David 6.
