WATER MONITORING

The Village of Maywood is a public supply water system as such we are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis.  Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards.

During the period of 7/01/09 through 9/30/09 we did not complete all monitoring or testing report forms for Disinfection By-Products (DBP)  testing, and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time.  These samples are taken quarterly during the year, and though this was not an emergency, as our customers you have a right to know what happened and what we did to correct the situation. The violation issue was rectified during the next monitoring period, all remaining tests for the 2009 sampling year were met, and the current testing period is under way and is proceeding without problem.  There is nothing you need to do at this time.

For further information or questions please contact John West at 708-450-4463.
