MAYWOOD POLICE CITE 27 IN
LATEST ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECK
Maywood police issued 27 citations in a 4-hour roadside safety check last Thursday at 17th Avenue and Maywood Drive.
Seventeen tickets were given for unbuckled seat belts. Two drivers were cited for not having a valid driver’s license.
“Maywood police will continue to be vigilant and visible in making sure drivers obey the law,” Police Chief Timothy Curry exclaimed. Sgt. Daryl Fairley supervised the roadside safety check.
Officers included Enrique Guzman, Weldon Cobos, Donna Lewis, Anthony Saraceno and Adeel Afridi. Also involved in the operation were the Maywood fire department and public works. |
