NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS FOR A PORTION OF THE ST. CHARLES ROAD TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT - NORTHWEST CORNER OF 1ST AVENUE AND LAKE STREET
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on May 18, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in the Village of Maywood Council Chambers, 125 South Fifth Avenue, Second Floor, Maywood, Illinois (the “Public Hearing”), on proposed redevelopment agreements relating to the proposed mixed use development of the below-described land with one or more commercial buildings for retail and office uses by Lake Street Plaza, L.L.C. and the rehabilitation and possible expansion of an existing residential building to provide senior living residential opportunities as proposed by Maywood Senior Residences L.P. for a portion of the St. Charles Road Tax Increment Financing District, pursuant to the provisions of the "Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act," 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et seq., as amended (the "TIF Act"). Copies of the proposed redevelopment agreements will be available as of May 3, 2010 for examination in the Village Clerk’s Office at 40 East Madison Street, Maywood, Illinois, on weekdays from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The development areas are legally described as follows:
LOTS 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (EXCEPT THAT PART TAKEN FOR STREET PURSUANT TO CASE NUMBER 86 L 5787),16, 17, 18 and 19 THROUGH 24 INCLUSIVE, IN BLOCK 201 IN MAYWOOD, A SUBDIVISION IN SECTIONS 2, 11 AND 14, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 12, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
PINS: 15-11-131-010-0000 through 15-11-131-018-0000, inclusive.
COMMONLY KNOWN AS: 210 - 224 North 1st Avenue and 101 - 115 Lake Street, Maywood, Illinois.
Prior to and at the May 18, 2010 Public Hearing, all interested persons may file with the Village Clerk written comments and may be heard orally with respect to any issues regarding the proposed Redevelopment Agreements for a portion of the St. Charles Road Tax Increment Financing District. Written comments are invited and can be sent in advance of the Public Hearing to the Maywood Village Clerk, 40 East Madison Street, Maywood, Illinois, 60153.
The Village invites alternative redevelopment proposals for the above property. Such proposals should be submitted to the Village Clerk’ Office by 4:00 p.m. on the day prior to the Public Hearing.
