FIVE MAYORS PLUS COUNTY BOARD PRESIDENT CELEBRATE FIRST PROPERTY DEVELOPED BY HOUSING COLLABORATIVE
Five West Cook mayors plus Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle host a groundbreaking event celebrating the initial property developed by the West Cook Housing Collaborative on Thursday, March 10 starting at 3 PM. The 26-unit affordable housing development is located at 1015-17 S. 4th Avenue in Maywood.
Host Mayor Henderson Yarbrough Sr. from Maywood welcomes Bellwood Mayor Frank Pasquale, Berwyn Mayor Frank Lovero, Forest Park Mayor Anthony Calderone and Oak Park Village President David Pope, as well as County Board President Preckwinkle.
“I want to thank IFF and all of the collaborative partners who have worked hard to develop programs and strategies for revitalizing properties that no longer are on our tax rolls,” Mayor Yarbrough stated. “Today is just the beginning of a regional effort to develop affordable properties throughout our communities,” he added.
