The Maywood Police Department will participate in a Special Olympics fundraiser on Friday, May 21 at Dunkin Donuts, 1940 Roosevelt Road in Broadview.  Maywood police officers will be on the rooftop encouraging patrons to support the Special Olympics from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
 
Those who donate to the Special Olympics will receive a free donut.  For donations over $10, the customer will get a free donut and a coffee mug with coffee for the day.
 
“Once again this year we are proud to be part of a collaborative effort to support Special Olympics,” commented Maywood Police Chief Timothy Curry.  Last year efforts by the Maywood Police Department resulted in more than $1,000 in contributions.
