MAYWOOD
POLICE TO
CONDUCT
DAILY SAFETY
BELT CHECKS IN
MAY
“Click it or Ticket”
will be the
operative theme in
the village of
Maywood this month
as the Maywood
Police Department
vigilantly conducts
daily safety belt
checks in at least
fourteen enforcement
zones.
Starting May 14 and
continuing through
May 31, uniformed
patrol officers,
operating marked
squads, will be
posted at designated
intersections.
Vehicle drivers and
occupants not
wearing their seat
belts will be
ticketed.
“Motor vehicle
crashes due to
non-use of safety
belts and child
safety seats are the
leading cause of
death for Americans
between the ages of
5 through 24,”
Police Chief Timothy
Curry asserted.
“The most effective
way to ensure that
these laws are
obeyed is visible
enforcement
programs. The
Maywood Police
Department is
committed to saving
lives and enforcing
the law and asks the
full cooperation of
residents and
drivers who enter
our village,” the
chief stated.

13th Avenue and
Washington Boulevard
19th Avenue and Oak
Street
5th Avenue and
Quincy Street
9th Avenue and
Chicago Avenue
