VILLAGE OF MAYWOOD
HOSTS
PROPERTY TAX APPEAL
FORUM
WITH COMMISSIONER
LARRY ROGERS JR.
For the third
consecutive year,
the Village of
Maywood will hold a
property tax appeal
forum with Cook
County Board of
Review Commissioner
Larry Rogers Jr. on
Wednesday, May 5
starting at 7 PM in
the gymnasium of the
Maywood
Multi-Purpose
Building, 200 S. 5th
Avenue.
Previous
forums have drawn up
to 400 homeowners
who have had the
opportunity to talk
to Commissioner
Rogers and his staff
and to fill out
property tax appeal
forms.
“As your mayor and
fellow homeowner, I
am fully aware of
the adversities our
communities are
facing regarding
property taxes,”
Mayor Henderson
Yarbrough Sr.
stated. “Many of
our residents have
successfully reduced
their property tax
obligations by
filing appeals at
our town halls with
Commissioner
Rogers. I encourage
homeowners once
again to join us on
May 5,” the mayor
concluded.
“”As Commissioner of
the Cook County
Board of Review, I
am committed to
educating property
owners regarding
their rights to
appeal their
property tax
assessments,”
Commissioner Rogers
asserted. “I hope
all will take full
advantage of this
opportunity to meet
with my staff to
appeal your property
tax assessment,” he
added.
Attendees are
encouraged to bring
tax bills to the
forum. For further
information, please
