The Village of
Maywood
celebrates the
upcoming
Thanksgiving
season by
hosting its
annual turkey
giveaway for
Maywood
residents on
Saturday,
November 21 in
front of the
soon-to-be-open
Maywood Market,
5th
and Washington.
One turkey per
household will
be provided from
10 a.m. to
noon.
Identification
verifying
Maywood
residence must
be shown.
“Especially this
year with the
employment and
financial
challenges many
people face, we
are honored to
be able to
provide a turkey
for our needy
residents for
their
Thanksgiving
festivities,”
stated Mayor
Henderson
Yarbrough.
Maywood Market
owners, who have
collaborated
with the village
for this turkey
giveaway, will
give a tour of
the store to
those who are
interested.
