The Village of
Maywood approved
at its September
board meeting a
contract to low
bidder Triggi
Construction for
roadway
improvements.
The $1,333,000
award will be
funded via St.
Charles TIF
($737,000),
Madison and
Washington TIF
($92,000) and
the village’s
capital
improvement
funds
($504,000).
Improvements
will include
replacement of
sections of curb
and gutter,
sidewalk and
driveway
entrances, and
repair and
replacement of
drainage
structures and
their connection
to the village
relief sewer.
Within the scope
of work also
will be pavement
base course
repairs, milling
of the existing
center lanes of
pavement,
placement of
bituminous
binder and
surface courses
of hot mix
asphalt, and
restoration of
landscaped
parkways.
Construction
will begin in
mid-September
and is expected
to be completed
this year.
