The Village of
Maywood will host a
week-long series of
events honoring
“Building Safety
Week” from May 4
through May 8. All
events will take
place at Village
Hall, 40 Madison
Street in Maywood.
Each day will be
devoted to a
particular aspect of
environmental
awareness and safety
and feature a code
officer available to
answer questions
from 1-3 PM,
brochures and
informational
handouts, as well as
refreshments.
According to Code

Greene and Ken
Smith, building
safety week
coordinators, the
schedule will be as

annual year being
sponsored by the
International Code
Council. Its
objective is “to
expand awareness of
the importance of a
safe and sustainable
environment.”
