The Village of
Maywood has
contracted with
WebQA Inc. for a
comprehensive
citizen service
communication
tool that will
enable residents
to interact with
the village over
the phone, in
person or
through the
web. The new
Citizen Support
Center,
accessible via
the Resource
Center graphic
located on the
home page of the village
website (www.maywood-il.org),
will help
residents find
answers, make a
request, ask a
question or
track and report
all service
requests.
“As we continue
to strive for
ways to provide
tools to Maywood
residents, we
are proud to add
this seamless
and
comprehensive
program that
will both
improve
communication
and
accountability,”
asserted Maywood
Mayor Henderson
Yarbrough Sr.
“Along with our
town hall
meetings,
newsletters,
telephone
communication,
website
improvements and
on-line
accessibility,
we believe WebQA
will add another
level of
accessibility
and transparency
for all Maywood
residents,”
Yarbrough added.
The village has
reached out to
residents
regarding WebQA.
According to
Trina Mangrum,
assistant to the
village manager,
presentations
have been made
at all M.A.P.S.
meetings, at the
Maywood Senior
Club meeting and
at other events.
“We have trained
all staff
members and will
be informing the
public through
our newsletter,
our cable access
station and our
public
meetings.”
Mangrum wanted
residents to
know that “you
can still call
in a service
request or come
into village
hall to ask a
question. WebQA
is another tool
that the Village
of Maywood will
utilize to
promote more
accessibility
for resident and
more
accountability
for staff,” she
concluded.
A kiosk has been
set up at
Village Hall for
residents to
use. The system
went on line
December 1.
